DUI Attorney Kyle T. Green

Arizona is known for having some of the harshest DUI laws in the country as well as some of the harshest punishments for those convicted. Because of this, it is important to at least discuss your case with a DUI attorney experienced in first time DUI law.

On the surface, DUI cases might seem cut and dry. But, as with any criminal proceeding, you are innocent until proven guilty and it is worth the time to investigate your case looking at things like the evidence against you, testing errors and witness credibility.

As an aggressive Arizona DUI attorney, I know the questions to ask and the way to answers. I know the law and the strategies and tactics available when defending your rights. In my consultations with clients, we discuss all your options and I make sure all your questions are answered. If I then have the privilege of defending your DUI charge, I will work tirelessly to ensure you are protected and defended throughout each step of your criminal proceeding.

1st Time DUI Penalties

According to Arizona law, it is illegal to drive “under the influence of intoxicating liquor, any drug, a vapor releasing substance containing a toxic substance, or any combination of liquor, drugs or vapor releasing substances if the person is impaired to the slightest degree.” The corresponding Arizona legal limit for blood alcohol concentration (BAC) is .08%.

Penalties for first time DUI offenders in Arizona may include:

  • Minimum of one to 10 days in jail
  • Alcohol or drug treatment program (at your own cost)
  • Installation of an ignition interlock device on your vehicle
  • Community service
  • Probation
  • License suspension
